The Silver Spoon of Solomon Snow by Kaye Umansky

' This is a fun kid book about a search for self. I already am scoping out the sequel for more Solomon Snow. I will definitely have my boys read this one. It reminded me of the Magician's Elephant in the way that is flowed and gathered speed until all the characters were gathered together for the ending.

It was a great fun read with great characters and a fun plot.

It would be nice if Solomon Snow and his friends had some more adventures in the near future.' We were disappointed when we came to the end of the second (and final so far) book of the series. My family had fun speculating on the outcome of the mysteries. The characters were enjoyable to read and fun to voice. I read these to my children a few years ago and still joke about 'Miss Bunnykins'. 'This book and its sequel are great read-out-loud stories to share with your family. But will Solly ever find his spoon and his real parents? Solly sets out to find his spoon with the help of some ragamuffin friends he picks up along the way. But his luck soon changes when Ma lets slip a little secret-Solly was left on their doorstep as an infant with a silver spoon in his mouth. He lives with Ma and Pa Scubbins in a rundown cottage outside of the village of Boring working as a delivery boy for their laundry service.
